A Day in the life - Mother's Day - Covid 19 Edition | Seattle Family Photographer | Brooke Holliday Photography
Mother’s Day during the Covid 19 Pandemic
Did your Mother’s Day look a little different this year? Mine definitely did. Usually my family and My husbands family would all get together and have a nice brunch and hang out all together. This year restaurants are shut down for dining and we still have a stay at home order in place for the full month of May.
This is a little peak into my day which happened to be Mother’s Day as well.
My husband and I woke up before everyone else and he made me the most epic omelette!
The kids woke up and we had breakfast at the table together.
After breakfast we all hung out for a moment before we decided to get into another project. Have you been doing a lot of DIY projects during quarantine?
I made sure to take a self portrait with my daughter. These photos of use have become very special moments for me.
My husband put some finishing touches on these pieces of wood that we are using to build a frame for a giant mirror.
Then I finished off the sanding and staining of the wood. I wouldn’t call myself handy by any means. I just like to do these parts.
We did a little more having out in the sun!
Once that was complete we were ready for our main event for the day and headed over to Dash Point State Park Beach. State Parks were just allowed to open back up on Tuesday May 5th. We had a lot of fun playing at the beach together in the sunshine.
I hope that your Mother’s Day was amazing and you were able to spend it with lots of loved ones around you.
