3 local Washington places for moms and their kids to go around the puget sound!

If you are anything like me you found that after having kids it seems the list of places that you can go (kid friendly) start to get shorter and shorter. You question yourself, “will my kids behave? Will there be a meltdown? Will I be able to enjoy myself?” It sometimes feels like all you do when you go out is wrangle your kids. In the spirit of getting out of the house and not just to the neighborhood park for the 100th time here is a quick list of my favorite places to take my kids!

  1. Anchorhouse Coffee Roasters - This little coffee shop is in the heart of Buckley, WA, a cute little town between Bonney Lake and Enumclaw. The great parts of Anchorhouse is that they are in an original old building with lots of character, their selection of pastries are so good! It’s a great place for moms to meet up during the day and chat while enjoying a coffee or tea. Anchorhouse also donates a percentage of all sales to Love Justice International.

  2. Tacoma Point Defiance Park - Seattle is known for its gorgeous parks but have you been to Point Defiance Park in Tacoma? This park is huge and offers views of the puget sound and Mount Rainer. The Park offers beautiful gardens, Japanese architecture and a waterfront beach. With so much space it’s a great place to let the kids run around on a beautiful Pacific NW day!

  3. Seattle Children’s Museum - If you ever want to experience the magic of being a child, then this is where you want to take your kids. My favorite parts were always the Market and the Theatre! The Museum has great programs for those that need assistance with admission as well and a membership where you can visit any of the children museums in the US.

What other places do you frequent often with your kids that you enjoy just as much as them? Let me know in the comments because I would love to expand my list of go tos also!
