3 Tips on How to Prepare for Senior Pictures

Graduation is on the horizon and you are preparing for the best year of High School yet, Senior Year!

If Senior Photos are on your list of things to do then you may be wondering how to prepare. Read on for 3 tips on how to prepare for a Lifestyle senior session because it’s a little different than the traditional Senior Portraiture of the past.

  1. Come as you are

There is no one else on this planet that’s like you and that is your superpower. The best advice is that you come as you are. Wear something comfortable and that reflects who you are and your personality. Lifestyle Photography captures who you are with out all the fussy high production. So don’t over think it and just come and be yourself.

2. Bring special items or… don’t!

This is your session. Some Seniors want to capture themselves with objects that mean something to them like a guitar or swag from their future college or school. And some play sports or are apart of clubs that are significant to them. If you find you have something you want to be photographed with than bring it along!

On the flip side if you don’t want to bring anything, that’s ok too! This is your session and we can focus completely on you.

3. Don’t over think it!

Having your photo taken can be awkward and a little nerve raking. You can’t see yourself like in selfies!

The most important thing to remember is to trust in your photographer and go with the flow. As a Tacoma Senior Photographer I know that the if you trust your photographer they will lead the way through the photoshoot, put you at ease and I the end you may find that you even had a little bit of fun!
