5 reasons why its not too late to have an in home lifestyle newborn photoshoot at 4 weeks old

You may be worried that you are missing your opportunity for newborn photos if you don’t take them with in 2 weeks of birth. As a first time parent that had a c section I was not ready to have a newborn session within 2 weeks of delivering my baby. And as a Tacoma Newborn Photographer I have seen babies at different ages for newborn photoshoots and they were all just as sweet and perfect for their families.

The beautiful thing about lifestyle newborn photoshoots is that there is no age restrictions. We have the ability to have your newborn photoshoot when you, your family and you newborn are ready.

I am going to give you 5 reasons why it’s not too late to have a lifestyle newborn photoshoot at 4 weeks and beyond! Lets get into it!

1 - Authenticity: A lifestyle newborn photoshoot focuses on capturing the everyday moments and interactions between your family and your baby. Having a newborn photoshoot when your baby is 4 weeks old, you have the opportunity to showcase the natural routine of your families life with the new addition and the genuine emotions that come with adjusting to parenthood.

2 - Settled into routines: Around 4 weeks, you and your baby may have established some routines and settled into a routine that can be beautifully documented in a lifestyle newborn photoshoot. This can include bottle or breastfeeding, cuddling, and engaging with your baby in different areas of your home. These moments will be a true reflection of the early days of bonding with your new baby.

3 - Baby's developing awareness: At 4 weeks, your baby's awareness of their surroundings is increasing. They may be more responsive to you, making eye contact, and even sharing smiles. These milestones can be captured during an in home lifestyle newborn photoshoot, showcasing their emerging personality and connection with family members.

4 - More inclusion of family members: A lifestyle newborn photoshoot involves including all family members, such as siblings and pets. At 4 weeks old, older siblings may be better equip to interactions with the baby during the photoshoot, as they may have adjusted to the new arrival and developed a bond with the baby. They may also have had time to adjust to not being the only child or having a brand new baby sibling. Similarly pets may have had more time to get used to having a new member of the family.

5 - Comfort and relaxation: As new parents, the first few weeks can be a whirlwind of adjustments and sleep deprivation. By scheduling a lifestyle newborn shoot at 4 weeks, you'll likely have settled into a more comfortable routine and be more relaxed. This can result in a more enjoyable experience, allowing you to fully embrace the photoshoot and be present in capturing those authentic and heartfelt moments.

Ultimately, a lifestyle newborn photoshoot at 4 weeks old offers a different perspective and a unique opportunity to document your family's journey during the early weeks of your baby's life. It captures the beauty of your everyday interactions and the love that surrounds your little one, creating cherished memories for years to come.
