The 3 best rooms to use during a newborn photoshoot at home

Are you having a Newborn Photoshoot at home?

You may be preparing for your Newborn Photoshoot at home and wondering what areas, of your home, are best to use.

Before we get into the areas of your home that are best let’s talk about the number 1 factor that will determine which rooms are best, that is lighting. Photography is all about light. Lighting will make or break a photo. So the areas of your home that will be best will have the best lighting.

Ok so let’s get into the 3 best rooms, in your home, to use during your newborn photoshoot at home.

  1. Bedroom

Your bedroom is a great room because it’s intimate and you spend lots of cozy time in there. This room naturally brings out the comfy and cozy vibes for your photos. This is the room that most likely your photographer will take photos of you and your partner laying down with your baby, taking individual photos of baby and maybe some photos close the the window light.

2. Nursery

Not every family has one, I sure didn’t, but the nursery is a great room to commemorate babies first room! I know that you took lots of time and effort decorating and making it so cute and perfect. Photos that will likely be taken here are baby in the crib, you and your partner cuddling baby, and if you have a rocking chair, maybe some feeding photos and some photos of each of you and your partner with baby.

3. Livingroom

The Living room is a great room because it’s a communal space. It gives more of those comfy cozy vibes and will probably have the best lighting of all aside from the main bedroom. In this room you will likely get some cuddly bonding photos of the whole family including pets (if desired), photos with siblings (if this isn’t your first baby) and standing or sitting poses from all kinds of angles.
