Buckley, WA is the town I have called home for the last few years. It reminds me a lot of my dad’s home town in Iowa that I visited frequently as a kid. (major nostalgia vibes here) Buckley is a quaint little town that has major rural small town vibes. While other cities around it build up and invite large chains into their communities, Buckley has stayed away from that. You can find old school brick buildings with unique businesses on Main Street, a historical museum dedicated to what life was like in the area in the early days and an arena for the Buckley Log Show (a logging competition, if you haven’t attended once Covid is settled you have to go).
There is a lot of history here and that is one thing that I really like about this town. In a time when technology is is everywhere this place feels like the old days before we had so much at our finger tips. Downtown Buckley has become one of my favorite locations that gives a different kind of “urban” look! And the light is just perfect for a sunset session.
