A Storytelling Approach to Your Baby’s First Days

The early days aren’t always soft, but they are sacred.
You’re learning each other. You’re healing. You’re awake when the world is asleep.
Everything is tender: your body, your baby, your emotions.
And through all of it, you’re loving with your whole self.

These photographs are made for that in-between space, where time collapses, and everything matters.

My Approach

My newborn sessions are guided by presence, not poses.
I follow your baby’s cues, your energy, your rhythm. We move slowly. We pause often. We make space for the real moments: skin to skin, the way they curl into your chest, your partner’s quiet awe, your older child leaning in with wonder or hesitation.

Nothing is forced. Nothing is too much. This isn’t about capturing a perfect baby, it’s about honoring your newly imagined family.

What to Expect

Newborn sessions are typically scheduled within the first 2 weeks to 2 months after birth, but there’s no “right” time. It’s up to you, your recovery and comfortability.
Sessions take place in your home, where your comforts and routines already live.

I work with natural light, neutral tones (with pops of bright colors), and a gentle approach that allows everyone, especially you, to feel safe, seen, and supported.
You can hold your baby the entire time, breastfeed or bottle-feed as needed, and just be.
We’ll create photographs that feel like memory: the rise and fall of their breath, your arms wrapped around them, the blur of exhaustion and wonder.

THE EXPERIENCE

“I didn’t feel like myself in those few first weeks…. tired, swollen, unsure. but somehow, Brooke saw me so clearly. These photographs hold so much tenderness. They remind me that even in the blur, I was full of love. And that is what I want to remember most.”
