Why taking family photos after the kids have grown up is important
Family Photography is always important…
If you are asking me then my opinion is that family photos are always important. They are important when your are getting married, when you are dating, when you have a baby, when your kids are in elementary and high school, even when your kids are adults and have kids of their own. You should have family photos of all the seasons and stages of your life. These photos are your history, your legacy and your memories.
It might be easier to get the kids in photos when they are little but you should definitely still get you kids together for family shoots as they grow older. From High school to adulthood these photos together will be even more special as the kids become even more independent or leave the nest to start their own families.
Extended family sessions are a great way to get the kids together for a family photo shoot. This session took place at Lake Wilderness park, which is a great spot to do fun family activities btw. Extended family sessions are that time when you can get photos with your parents and your siblings plus the grand kids. Take the time! Take the time and get your photos now because if you wait for the perfect time or body well you will be waiting forever and we all know that time stands still for no one.
During an extended family session with me I get all the combinations that you are looking for. The whole family, Parents and kids, individual shots and couples. I like to mix in a variety of posed/looking at the camera and photos with lots of movement and more candid.
