Do you have to wear a dress to a Maternity Photo Shoot?
Who ever said that you have to wear a dress to your maternity session?
There tends to be, and most recently, a trend for maternity shoots to have long flown dresses with ruffles and texture, which are absolutely gorgeous in their own right. But guess what? That doesn’t mean that you have to wear one to yours! I want you to know that there are no rules with it comes to a maternity session.
First off I want you to know that there are no rules with it comes to a maternity session. This is your time, Your pregnancy and your photo shoot. What matters most is that you are comfortable, physically and emotionally. If your style leans towards jeans and a nice top… wear that. If you want to strip down and wear intimates to feel sexy… wear that! And if a dress does feel like the most appealing outfit then you should absolutely wear that.
It’s important that you represent yourself how you want to be seen. It’s important that you feel beautiful in your photos, and that all starts with what you wear. Stay true to your own personal style. You don’t have to feel like you need to chase the trends that you are seeing in Maternity Photography. Because most of the time trends don’t tend to age well. (You know what I’m talking about.)
So do you and don’t feel like you have to be something you aren’t:
Trust your own personal style and create a look that feels like you.
Add as much or as little femininity to your outfit as you want.
And above all, make sure the you feel comfortable and beautiful, becuase that is what matters most.
