Fall my favorite time of year

I don't really know when I started to favor fall more than summer but over the last couple of years i have grown to enjoy the crisp weather, the change in the leaves, the opportunity to layer my clothes and the coziness of bundling up with my family under a nice soft blanket. 

I have always loved Halloween and going to the pumpkin patch. This year was really special because it was the first year that Leila was able to go out and enjoy the pumpkin patch a little bit. Now that she is 1 she could at least walk a little bit and touch and interact with her surroundings. 

This year we had to go twice, once to experience all the fun that Maris Farms had to offer and the second time to get pumpkins. It was our first time going there and on the Sunday we went it was the perfect sunny day. We spent a couple hours there going through the Corn Maze, playing lots of games, taking a hay ride and seeing the animals. It was a ton of fun.

Picking a Pumpkin

Leila got really tired on your first outing so we had to go back the next day to get our pumpkins so that we could carve them. The weather was very very different as the winds were changing for the expectant storms that were hitting that week. We had to really bundle up this time as it was pretty cold. Never the less we had a good quick trip picking our pumpkins. There were so many to choose from. I don't think that I had ever seen a pumpkin patch that big. 

Halloween is tonight and everyone is in my house is just so excited! It is a great holiday to end my favorite month of the year!!
