What if it rains on the day I booked my Tacoma Family Photoshoot?
The PNW and it’s residents… us, are no stranger to rain. And to the outside world it rains here non stop!
So there is a chance that if you schedule your session for an outdoor location that there may be a potential for rain, especially in the fall, winter and spring.
So what happens if the date of your session comes and the weather man says, uh oh, it’s going to rain.
There is always an option should rain attempt to ruin our plans for your outdoor photo shoot. Here is what we can do if on the day of your session if it rains.
Have an In-home photoshoot instead
It might not be the first place you think of for your family photos but I personally thinks it’s the best place! This is where life really happens for your family! Childhood and everyday moments and milestones are happening! I am a big advocate for at home sessions and have lots of experience. I know we can create beautiful and unique images in your home. Plus we won’t have to reschedule… again. Yay!
2. Move the start time of your Tacoma family Photoshoot.
Because the weather can be quite unpredictable and very off and on rain, I don’t cancel a shoot until the night before or day of. When booking with me I advise to leave your whole day open. Depending on the location some are better in the morning or evening. So having that flexibility is super important especially for rain. If we scheduled your session for 6PM and the forecast says rain in the evening but pleasant in the morning, then changing the time to morning would be beneficial so that we don’t need to reschedule.
3. We can easily reschedule your family photoshoot
If you are dead set on the location and the time then we can absolutely reschedule. I leave room in my calendar for reschedules. The reschedule date will be subject to both our availability lining up. So that could mean a weekday evening or weeks to a month out.
