Family Reunion in Minnesota | Buckley, WA Family Photographer

summer time is one of my favorite parts of the year. the sun is out, the days are long, it's warm and it is the best time to travel. i recently returned from the midwest. it was a 1st annual family reunion in the state of Minnesota. i hadn't been there for about 7 years and hadn't seen any of my midwest family for about 2 years. it was definitely time for vacation!

the reunion took place at my cousins farm and boy was it just a beautiful and peaceful place. it was big too, 20 acres!! it had the most beautiful lawn with big trees to shade you in the afternoon and enough space to set up for volleyball. they have a large chicken cope with over 100 chickens and a separate small barn with turkeys.

it was really nice to get away from the city and be in the country and just enjoy family. i got to refresh from all the day to day here that happens at home. getting to escape to a place with less cars and buildings really brings me back to basics. i think everyone needs that time to unplug and connect with your loved ones or nature. so make sure that you get some of that special family time this summer!
