What to wear to your Couples Session | Buckley, WA Couples Photographer

a guide for what to wear to your upcoming summer couple's session

deciding what to wear to a photo session can be a task in a long line of tasks that you already have. If you are a busy like me you have a full time job, a spouse or significant other and maybe 1 or more kids to take care of at home. in the effort to save time I have compiled 3 quick suggestions for what to wear.

1. Simple patterns and solids

dark colors are more flattering but bright colors can be fun. Wear colors or simple patterns that will represent you and your personality.

2. Coordinate your style and colors

A good start with coordination is to review complementary colors.

  • red & green

  • yellow & purple

  • blue & orange

these colors and variations of these colors will look good together.

keep your style coordinated. if one of you wants to dress it up a little the other will look best if you do the same. your looks will look cohesive which will only add to your images!

3. Keep in mind your environment

you want to consider where your session is taking place. what season is it? are we at a park, beach or urban setting. each location can give off a different vibe and it's likely you would dress differently to the beach than a trip to the city.

you may want to pass on short skirts or dresses, t shirts with large logos or phrases, overly baggy clothing and busy distracting patterns.

if you ever have questions about what to wear the best person to ask is your photographer.
