Choose clothing that matches your personality and style to your Senior Photoshoot.

Before you go and find an outfit that you saw and want to emulate take a moment and think about what makes you look and feel good. While it’s ok to get inspiration from other outside influences make sure you put your own personal twist on it. You are one of a kind and you have a unique perspective to bring to the world. Because of this it is important to dress in your own personal style. Do what YOU like and wear clothes that represent you and make you feel comfortable. Choose something that feels like you.

Coordinate colors, accessories and shoes at your senior photoshoot

Coordination is KEY! You want to make sure that you have an complete outfit that harmonizes together and does not clash. Starting with a hero piece like a dress, or stylish pair of pants then building the outfit from there is a great way to go. When you start with one piece of clothing that you would definitely like to wear that makes it easier to choose what else to add to the outfit. Don’t be afraid to wear a pop of color or layers and texture to add interest.

When thinking about accessories like rings, chains or earrings its good to keep it simple. Statement piece is this case may take away from you the start of the photos. So stay away from large chains and necklaces and stick with 1 or two pieces of jewelry max. Like a small earring and a necklace or a chain and a ring. This will add a little flare without taking away the focus from you.

Dress for the weather and location

LOCATION:

I think this one is pretty self explanatory. But just think about the location you chose and what will look good in that place and what won’t. There are outfits that you wouldn’t wear to certain occasions and the same rules go for your senior photoshoot

Dramatic dress and heels in an open field might not look the part. Maybe a sundress and sandals would be a better choice. If you are into a more formal look it might be best to have that in a city or urban setting.

WEATHER:

Keep layers on for cooler weather and dress accordingly for warmer weather. You know what to do!
